Here’s an important life lesson I learnt since I was a young girl is no matter how tough you think your life is there’s always someone who has to face challenges that are even tougher than yours.

And it goes in many different directions. Not only basic things like making money, getting food, or having a place to rest at night, but also the possibility of taking part in some innovative projects or just having a role model to inspire them.

One of my happy moments in life is been able able to host my inspire me beauty workshops with Wirrapanda Foundation once a year. I always say I am a blessed one that this beautiful foundation has allowed me to share what are love and know with so many beautiful young ladies.

What is the Wirrapanda Foundation?

The foundation is about Promoting Strong Role Models and Healthy Life Choices for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.

The workshop I host

The joy I see on these kids’ faces as I walk in the room cannot be measured by any amount of money that someone can give you. Their faces of joy and shyness makes you smile. It take 15 – 20mins and then they start asking you all those joyfully question that make you respect such precious moments.

I always treasure my 3 hours of been in the presence of these beautiful souls and they mentors that have welcomed me to the family with open arms.

We talk about hygiene, self-esteem, hair, beauty and everything that young girls want to talk about. We laugh and hug knowing that such moments are so precious until our next workshop.

The kids are in the Wirrapanda Foundation amazing program called Deadly Sisters. I have nothing but so much respect for the foundation for giving back to the community in such a big way and helping a lot of our young Indegious girls to find self-esteem and unconditional love.
